Northenden Pipe Band Needs You

Have you ever thought of playing the bag pipes and meeting new friends? Northenden has its’ own Pipe Band that plays at regular events around the North West – Northenden Boat Race, New Mills Carnival, Remembrance Day and many more. Alistair also does solo performances for charities and the community, one of which was at Brocklehurst Nursing Home which brought back many memories for the patients. Unfortunately due to the loudness of the pipers the whole band could not be there.

With popular tunes like Amazing Grace, Scotland the Brave!, and may others, you could learn how to play these tunes with Alistair and the band. They are a friendly group, who welcome people into the band, so whether you are a novice, or have played before and would like to start up again, why not join them at St Wilfrid’s School on Patterdale Road in Northenden on a Wednesday evening 7.30pm to 10pm. If you are passionate about piping and seriously want to learn or if you have previous bagpipe experience and need to freshen up why not come and join us?
