SAFESPOTS Women’s Charity Faces Critical Funding Challenge as Demand for Support Continues to Rise

SAFESPOTS launches urgent appeal to secure the future of essential services for vulnerable women

Safespots, a charity dedicated to supporting women through some of the most challenging periods of their lives, has launched an urgent appeal for financial support as it faces a significant funding shortfall that threatens the future of its services.

For years, Safespots has provided a safe, trusted and compassionate environment where women can access practical support, advocacy, guidance and hope. The charity works with women experiencing a range of complex challenges, helping them rebuild confidence, improve their wellbeing and move towards safer, more stable futures.

Today, however, the charity finds itself at a critical moment.

Like many charities across the UK, Safespots is facing unprecedented financial pressures at a time when demand for its services remains high. Trustees and leadership teams are actively exploring every possible avenue to secure the organisation’s future, but substantial additional funding is urgently needed to ensure this vital work can continue.

Every week, women turn to Safespots for support during some of the most difficult and vulnerable periods of their lives. The charity’s services provide not only practical help, but also connection, dignity and a sense of belonging for those who may have nowhere else to turn.

Without significant new investment from donors, businesses, charitable trusts, foundations and supporters, the future of these life-changing services is at risk.

“Safespots changes lives. Every day we witness extraordinary courage from the women we support, and we see the profound impact that compassionate, specialist support can have on helping women move forward.

We are determined to do everything possible to protect these services, but we cannot do it alone. We are calling on individuals, businesses, philanthropists and community leaders to stand with us at this critical time.

This appeal is about safeguarding hope, dignity and opportunity for the women who rely on us. With the right support, we can secure the future of Safespots and continue making a difference for years to come.”

The charity is now actively seeking:

  • Major donors and philanthropists willing to make transformational gifts
  • Corporate partners interested in supporting women and communities through sponsorship and long-term partnerships
  • Grant-making trusts and foundations aligned with Safespots’ mission
  • Public figures and ambassadors who can help raise awareness of the charity’s work and funding appeal

Safespots remains fully committed to supporting the women who access its services and continues to explore all available options to secure long-term sustainability.

The charity hopes that this appeal will inspire individuals and organisations who share its vision to come forward and help protect an essential community resource before it is too late.
