The main aim is to make Kirkup Gardens a vibrant, cherished and healthier community space, over the next few years. This project is funded by the National Lottery and was made possible thanks to #NationalLottery players. We are also working closely with Manchester City Council’s Park Team, Neighbourhood Team and Woodhouse Park elected councillors as partners.‘I hope that this project will help make Kirkup Gardens a place where many people will want to spend time to be active, enjoy each other’s company or simply to enjoy the natural surroundings’ Councillor Rob Nunney

For the last three years, Heart & Soul Community Action Team in partnership with Waymarking C.I.C., have run park-based community workshops, championing local residents as experts in their parks, with nearly 500 people contributing to research and collaborating on designing a vision and action plan for the community-led regeneration of Kirkup Gardens.
