Families in Wythenshawe invited to free community day at local leisure centre

Families in Wythenshawe are invited to a free open day at Wythenshawe Forum on Wednesday, February 18.

Forum Leisure, managed by award-winning operator Everyone Active in partnership with Wythenshawe Forum Trust, will host the event from 10am-6pm, offering a range of free fitness activities for all ages and abilities.

The packed programme will include free swimming sessions, parent and junior gym passes and access to the health suite with sauna steam rooms to relax and unwind.

Free group exercise classes will also run throughout the day, including yoga, bodypump, aerobics and bodycombat.

In addition, children’s football, table tennis, pickleball and badminton sessions will be on offer in the sports courts, along with senior dance.

Dan Nowak, Everyone Active’s general manager, said: “We are very excited to invite our local community to this free open day event, which is set to be great fun and full of fantastic activities for residents to enjoy.

“There will be plenty of opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to keep active. We encourage anyone thinking of coming along to get involved and see what brilliant facilities we have to offer.”

A free activewear giveaway will take place on the day, to help members of the community access opportunities to stay active and remove barriers to exercise.

Free clothes, activewear and footwear will be handed out to those in need at the centre, while brand-new resistance bands will also be available while stocks last.
