Award-winning leisure operator, Everyone Active, has launched a low-cost, activity-based membership – available at the Forum Centre, Wythenshawe.
Move More membership is being piloted at six leisure sites to engage inactive populations through inclusive and accessible sport, swim and social activities.
The three-month means-tested membership removes cost barriers and supports inactive individuals in receipt of Universal Credit or Pension Credit.
Members gain access to specialised activities such as quiet swims, walking sports, Good Boost sessions and community programmes, with the aim to reduce social isolation and promote wellbeing.
Everyone Active group aquatic and activity manager Ian Cotton said: “This activity-based membership allows us to engage with inactive populations and work closely with partners such as DWP, Citizen’s Advice, housing associations and adult and social care.
“The membership provides affordable opportunities for people to benefit from regular activity in a supportive environment.”
Move More is designed to meet the needs of each local community. Activities vary at each leisure facility, with a focus on social and inclusive activity to encourage participation from people who may face barriers to being active.
The activity-based membership costs from £9.90 to £15 per month. Members won’t have access to gym facilities but benefit from digital exercise through Everyone on Demand and an online personal profile to manage and book activities.
