Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Employer of the Year’ at the Women in Housing / Housing Heroes Awards 2024.
The award ceremony, which took place at Manchester Central, was attended by over 700 housing professionals and recognised leaders, innovators, and changemakers in the housing sector.
Olympian Diane Modahl, who presented the award, highlighted the unanimous decision of the judges, stating WCHG was a place where colleagues genuinely wanted to work.
Shahida Latif-Haider, Executive Director of Transformation and Resources at WCHG, said: “This national award celebrates our hard-working teams across the business who make our organisation such a great place to work.
“We’re delighted, and it comes hot on the heels of winning ‘Best Company Culture and Employee Development’ at the recent Northern Housing Awards.”
Additionally, WCHG celebrated the achievements of its employees Sarah Woolley (Women of the Year), Faye Greaves (Women of the Future), and Lili Vetter (Inclusion Champion), who were shortlisted in their respective categories.
