WYTHENSHAWE-BASED BRODERICK’S ARE ON THE HUNT FOR APPRENTICES TO JOIN THEIR TEAM AFTER EXPERIENCING A POST-PANDEMIC BOOM

Local firm Broderick’s, a leading supplier of vending machines and coffee machines, are offering local youngsters the opportunity to earn whilst they learn with an apprenticeship scheme. News is out today that GCSE results for England and Wales are expected to confirm a widening north-south education gap with pupils in the north of the country falling behind their southern counterparts. For Managing Director John Broderick, “community is at the heart of what we do here.” The firm are keen to invest in local talent and give back to their local community.

Broderick’s are an independent, family-owned, national vending supply and operations business who supply state of the art equipment and offer a high quality of service. They are proud of their highly skilled workforce, and they offer endless opportunities for progression across various departments such as: tech, marketing, HR, finance and engineering. For those who are keen to earn while they learn and gain hands-on experience an apprenticeship could be a great option. As well as working full time for 40 hours a week the apprentice will gain formal qualifications that are the equivalent of three A-Levels as well as invaluable practical experience. Broderick’s believe that apprenticeships not only teach practical skills that contribute to a successful career but also allow youngsters to develop personally, gaining confidence and taking on responsibilities.

What are they looking for? The candidate will join the service team as a Vending Engineer Apprentice. Previous apprentices said of the opportunity that they enjoyed “learning new skills and gaining practical, valuable experience”. The apprenticeship provides full training from The Growth Company across a variety of areas such as: identifying issues, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing parts, IT/programming and boiler inspecting. The team are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude, flexibility and enthusiasm to learn and grow with the company.
