Sport Is Back   MCRactive logo Here at MCRactive we are continuing to support and broadcast the many ways residents of Manchester can feel healthy and well. With the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in full swing, we’re extremely excited to host a Summer of Sport within the city to inspire people of all abilities to celebrate and take part in their favourite sport. Whilst the COVID-19 restrictions have eased since Monday 19 July, we will continue to provide choice for all to stay healthy and active, in various different and safe ways. Please see below for more, along with lots of local news, activities and updates to help you feel inspired this month. We hope you find this beneficial to support your current lifestyle and help you and your loved ones move more each day.   Grey Divider SPORT & PHYSICAL ACTIVITY UPDATE guidance Since Monday 19 July, most COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted as we moved to step 4 of the roadmap. This means that there are no set restrictions on how many people can take part in sport and physical activity, indoors and outdoors. And all leisure centres and sport facilities remain open to the public in a COVID-safe environment but with no capacity limits. With this in mind, our primary focus will always be the health and wellbeing of our residents, and we ask that you continue to do your bit to ensure a healthy and safer environment within our facilities and open spaces. Please continue to be cautious; meet outdoors as much as you can, wear your masks in busy environments and clean your hands or shared equipment regularly. For a safe return and to keep our city out of harm’s way, let’s encourage our fellow community to get regular tests and take the vaccine if you’re 18 or older. For more information on guidance or any updates to access and restrictions, visit our website.
