Online   We continue to offer support to young people aged 18-30 wanting to find out more about becoming self-employed or setting up their own business. The course is designed to explore whether self-employment is the right choice and to equip young people with the skills and knowledge to develop their idea further. Each module is two hours long and will cover the following topics: marketing, selling, introduction to finance, personal money management, pricing, cash flow, book keeping, business plan and next steps.   For more information or to sign-up, visit the Explore Enterprise website.  
 
  Get into Leisure with GLL   11th – 27th July Duration: Full-time For 16-25 year olds In-person   The leisure sector offers lots of career opportunities including lifeguarding, fitness, customer service and catering. We’ve partnered up with GLL for an exclusive opportunity that will help young people gain new skills and secure a job in this sector.   During the three week program they will: Gain work experience in a leisure Centre Complete an accredited Lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) Learn catering and concierge skills relevant to the leisure industry Take part in employability skills workshops including CV writing, interview and career coaching Work with a Prince’s Trust progression mentor to provide tailored 1-2-1 support for personal development The program will also be a great way to meet new people, build confidence and try something new.   Get Started with Web Development with And.Digital   11th – 15th July Duration: Full-time one-weeks For 16-25 year olds In-person   We’ve partnered up with AND.Digital to bring young people an opportunity to learn and explore the Web Development.     Get into Digital Marketing with WYK   1st August – 7th October Duration: Full-time ten-weeks For 18-30 year olds Online   We have an opportunity for young people to take part in a full-time ten-week accelerator programme where they’ll learn the skills to start a career in digital marketing.   Get Started in Tech with Safety Culture   25th – 29th July Duration: One-week, full-time For 16-25 year olds In-person   We’ve partnered up with Safety Culture to provide an opportunity to learn the tech industry and understand how they run as a business.   Get Started in Health and Social Care   26th – 29th July Duration: One-week, full-time For 18-25 year olds In-person   We have an opportunity for 18-25 year old’s looking to explore a career in Health and Social Care. This course offers young people the chance to gain new skills, try something new and interview for a live role in the care sector.   On this virtual programme they will explore the wide range of Health and Social Care roles on offer, and prepare to secure a job in the sector. They can apply for Rise by Agent Academy today to learn the skills, gain the experience and meet the experts they need to land their dream job! This FREE, part-time, 12 week programme will fast-track them into industry and get them the continued support they need until they land a job! Qualification Criteria: No previous qualifications or experience is needed Aged 18-30, currently out of education Living in the Greater Manchester area Apply directly on the Agent Academy website: agentacademy.org.uk, or get in touch with the team for more information.       Mental wellbeing drop-in service with 42nd Street   We’ve partnered with youth mental health charity 42nd Street to provide a new weekly drop-in service at our Manchester centre.   13-25 year olds who would like to speak to a specialist mental health worker can meet with Dominique from 42nd Street.   The drop-in service is open every Wednesday between 12-1pm and 3.15-4.15pm, no appointment necessary.     Kooth – free online mental health support   We’ve partnered with Kooth to provide free online mental health support for 11-25 year olds in Greater Manchester.   Young people can access free, confidential counselling via the Kooth website. Kooth also offer a range of helpful resources to support mental health and emotional wellbeing, such as articles, activities and a discussion board to connect with the Kooth community.   Find out more about Kooth >         Development Awards   Did you know we offer small, fast-access grants to help 16-30 year olds progress into education, training or employment?
