Rocco Paone, Daniel Slade and Liam Wynne will be riding 100 kilometres in the Tour de Manc, a mass cycling event which has attracted a field of more than 1,100 participants.
The trio work for Express Solicitors which is sponsoring the jerseys for the St Ann’s Hospice team of 10 riders on Sunday, May 1.
Staff from the Northenden-based firm, specialists in personal injury claims for more than 20 years, have also volunteered to help at a feeding station at Bolton Sailing Club.
Daniel, from Wilmslow, is the firm’s senior partner and has been cycling for only six months. He said: “I cycle twice a week but am very much a beginner, so it’s going to be a tough challenge.
“We’re delighted to support St Ann’s Hospice which does such wonderful work in the community caring for patients at end-of-life.”
Rocco, the company’s marketing manager, said: “It’s quite a distance, especially over a hilly course through Bolton, Bury, Oldham and Rochdale.
“I’ve been cycling for some time, but took time off through injury and our company is happy to support St Ann’s as much as we can.” Liam is head of operations at the company.
The Tour de Manc has four distances, ranging from 50k to 200k, and starts at Bowlee Park, Middleton.
