SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 – THE MOST COMMON SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 ARE
- a new continuous cough
- a high temperature
- shortness of breath
If you have these symptoms, however mild, stay at home and do not leave your house for 7 days from when your symptoms started.
If you live with someone who has symptoms, you’ll need to self-isolate for 14 days from the day their symptoms started. This is because it can take 14 days for symptoms to appear.
You don’t need to tell the NHS you’re staying at home, and you won’t be tested for COVID-19. Only get in touch with the NHS if:
- you don’t feel better after 7 days
- your symptoms are getting worse
- you feel you can’t cope with your symptoms at home.
