12 Days of Kindness Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. Application

These standard prize draw terms and conditions (these Terms) apply to any Southside Community Magazine prize draw whose published details state that these Terms are to apply (the prize draw). In these Terms, the published details of a prize draw means the details set out, the publicity material and any web pages dealing with the prize draw. These Terms must be read together with the published details of the relevant prize draw. In the event of any conflict between them, these Terms will take precedence unless (and only to the extent that) the published details of the relevant prize draw clearly state otherwise.

2. Promoter

The Promoter of the prize draw is Southside Community Magazine, South Court, Sharston Road, Sharston, Manchester M22 4SN and any partner referred to as such in the published description of the prize draw (Partner).

3. Duration

The prize draw will take place from the 15 December (the Start Date) to 22 December and 28 December to 31 December (the final draw). Southside Community Magazine will not change the final draw date unless circumstances outside its reasonable control make it unavoidable.

4. Who Can Enter

4.1 Except as set out in Rule 4.2, the prize draw is open to the whole community who are aged 16 or over.

4.2 The prize draw is not open to employees of Southside Community Magazine.

5. How To Enter

5.1 Entries must be submitted by post, email, text or Facebook

You only need to enter once to be entered into all 12 prize draws.

Post to be received by Southside Community Magazine, South Court, Sharston Road, Manchester M22 4SN no later than 10 December.

Email to info@southside.media until Tuesday 29 December. Any entries received after the start of the 12 Days of Kindness prize draw, will be entered into the remaining prize draws.

Text to 07506 904422 until Tuesday 29 December. Any entries received after the start of the 12 Days of Kindness prize draw, will be entered into the remaining prize draws.

Facebook (www.facebook.com/southsidemag – click send message)  you can send your entry to us via our Facebook page until Tuesday 29 December. Any entries received after the start of the 12 Days of Kindness prize draw (15 December), will be entered into the remaining prize draws.

Once entered you will received a dedicated number from Southside Community Magazine. This is for the random number picker.

6. Validity of Entry

6.1. There is a limit of one entry per person.

6.2.  You can only win once in 12 prize draws. Once a winner is selected, your unique number will be deleted from future prize draws.

6.3 Southside Community Magazine does not accept responsibility for lost, damaged or illegal entries. Illegible entries will be invalid and proof of sending/mailing is not proof of receipt. Correspondence will be entered into only at the discretion of Southside.

6.4 Late, illegible or defaced entries will not be accepted.

7. How The Winner(s) Will Be Chosen

7.1 Unless otherwise specified in the published details of the prize draws, the winning entrant or entrants (each a Winner) will be selected at random from all eligible entries by Southside Community Magazine or its agents under the supervision of an independent person on the dates specified in the published details of the prize draw.

7.2 The selection of the Winners under Rule 7.1 will be final.

8. Winner Announcement

The Winner(s) will be announced on Southside Community Magazine’s website at (www.southside.media) each day 15 to 22 December and 28 to 31 December no more than 7 days after each prize draw. The Winner(s) will be notified personally as soon as practicable either before or after the date of the public announcement.  The prizes donated by Cardinal Maritime will be despatched by Cardinal Maritime.

9. Winning Entry Details

The name(s) and postcode(s) of the Winner(s) will be made available to anyone who writes to Southside Community Magazine at South Court, Sharston Road, Manchester M22 4SN, within 3 months after the final prize draw (31 December 2020) requesting details of the Winner(s) and enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.

10. The Prize

10.1 The Winner(s) will each receive their prize within 7 days of the prize draw being drawn. No cash alternative or alternative prize can be offered. In the unlikely event that a prize should become unavailable, Southside Community Community Magazine reserves the right to substitute a prize which it may determine as being of equal value.

10.2 The prize(s) will be dispatched to the Winner(s) by the date specified in the published details of the prize draw.

10.3 Unless otherwise specified in the published details of the prize draw, the prize(s) are not suitable for children.

10.4 Southside have the right to delete prizes if they are not available, or add to the list of prizes.

11. Winner Publicity

11.1 Entrants accept that, if they win, Southside Community Magazine will have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use their name, postcode and likeness for the purposes of announcing the Winner(s) of the prize draw and for related promotional purposes.

12. Data Privacy

12.1 Personal information about the Winner(s) will be shared with Southside Community Magazine’s agents to the extent necessary for prizes to be delivered to those Winner(s).

12.2 Southside Community Magazine would like to keep entrants informed about Southside Community magazine which may be of interest by email, post and/or telephone. However, if you specifically do not want to be contacted please let us know by informing us when you enter the prize draws.

12.3 Southisde Community Magazine will not pass your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

12.4 All personal data relating to prize draw entrants will be processed solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation.

13. General

13.1 By submitting their entry, prize draw entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms.

13.2 Please retain a copy of these rules for your reference.

13.3 The prize draw and these Terms will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
